More coming soon.

I thought that I had taken more photos than I did, and I did actually, of my neighbors goat and the cellar. Since everybody falls in love with the kitchen sink, here is the kitchen the one room we could move right into and not do much work. Next time I go up will take better shots.

LOL! Dava! Great to hear from you again! Isn’t it awesome? I wish it was all portable so that I could bring it to the city with me:)

That is a terrific sink. Reminds me of the one my (country) grandma had at her house, sturdy, no nonsense, utilitarian but in its own way, very stylish.

    I like.

Thanks. I think that it was what sealed the deal for me! I would of offered to buy it if we didn’t buy the place. I am keeping the faucets too, if I can repair them.

Nice find! Will you be set up to take in the odd transient farm worker in a couple years?

Yes, we are thinking along those lines. Even want to build a cabin that we can either rent out to fishermen (near the Mississippi) or for hired or volunteer hands. But later, much later…..

Nice. I am pleased to hear it is in your thoughts for the future. It is so nice to meet one who seems to be of similar mind.

Thanks. I am glad we “met” as well. I wish I could say that it was a top priority but we have so much to do that it will be a while. I do aim to help others whenever I can. It is always on my mind. Lets see where it goes is my attitude though. the right person will come at the right time.

That is a great mindset but I was definitely talking about a situation of “mutual assistance”.

There is a tiny old farmhouse, which I grew up in, on what is left of my parents’ farm. It is my intention to refit this old house for this very purpose.

I don’t perceive helping others as a dependent/caretaker situation but I didn’t clarify that. I am much more about mutual assistance. I have determined, bleeding heart or not, no dead weights unless there is good reason to be non productive.
Your situation sounds awesome! Especially since you grew up there….I can’t wait to hear more.

Love the sink. Love the coloured light coming in the back door. Love the look of the space you have.

Thanks Toria. I think the space has great potential and even if we did very little, I could live with that.
